COVID-19 Update

Dear Valued Patients:

At Delatorre Dentistry, we appreciate the trust you place in us and would like to inform you on how we are addressing the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. As many of you know, this is an evolving issue with new information daily. We want to assure you that we are closely monitoring directives from the World Health Organization, Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Florida Department of Health, The American Dental Association (ADA), and other news sources.

Please know that our office is following all recommended guidance, and continuously updating our policies and protocols to ensure that our patients receive the best and safest care.

At this time, we support the recommendation from the White House Coronavirus Task Force, the ADA, and The CDC to postpone all elective dentistry for the next two weeks. As a result of that recommendation, our office will be closed from March 20-April 5, 2020.

Please rest assured that we will be available for your emergency needs if they arise. We will continue to follow the CDC recommendation of taking patients’ temperatures and asking screening questions upon arrival. Emergency needs will be addressed by appointment only. Staff will be checking our voicemail regularly and will be on-hand in limited capacity to address dental emergencies only (severe toothache, swelling of gums, face, or neck, bleeding in the mouth that does not stop, crowns that have come off and or broken teeth).

This decision was not arrived easily, as we have made the decision to reduce potential exposure of our patients, staff, and Doctor. We encourage you to stay current with recommendations from the CDC on social distancing. Please keep yourself, your family, and our community safe during this difficult time.

We will contact all patients once our offices are back open to reschedule as needed. Please don’t forget to check our social media sites for updates.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Alina de la Torre and Delatorre Dentistry Staff
